Wonderful!  You are at the end of the first trimester.  Your baby is now nearly three inches long.  You should have stopped having the morning sickness by now.  The fetus now has a head that is half the size of the crown to rump length.  At birth the baby will be one quarter head and three quarters body.

You must have informed all those who matter about your pregnancy.  If not this is the right time to announce the good news.  You can plan the event by posting those cute pictures on your Facebook page.

You’re Baby in Week Thirteen

This is the last week of your first trimester.  The baby will have grown to about three inches long.  The head of the baby is now about half the size of the crown to rump length.  All the essential organs of the baby have now developed to some extent.  Though the legs are still small the arms have grown in proportion to the body.  The face is now maturing to look more human.  The ears have come to the right place in the head.  The eyes have moved from the sides to the front of the baby face.

This week the growth rate continues to be rapid.  The organs that have been formed continue to mature.  The kidneys function and now some urine is there in the amniotic fluid.  Hormones are being produced in the placenta along with red blood cells.
