Many new moms have to go through postpartum depression. This is the post pregnancy anxiety that mothers need to deal with after giving birth to a baby. While there are some new mothers who deal with it easily, there are others who are unable to do so. They struggle and get affected by chronic anxiety. This is what leads to postpartum depression.

Do not try to be a supermom

Accept the fact that you can not take care of everything. At the end of the day, you are a human beingAAAAAA u do not have to compare yourself with your neighbors and friends who are new mothers. All that your child needs is love and care from you. You should not blame yourself for the things that you cannot do.

As a new mother, you too are learning. This means that you are bound to make mistakes. Everyone commits mistakes and you should not blame yourself for it. Accept your mistakes and learn from it instead of carrying the guilt in your heart.

If you think that you are blaming yourself too much for the mistake that you have done, then think about things that you have accomplished as a mom. You need to shift your mindset to something that makes you positive. This will let you fight depression and anxiety.

Make sure to have a balanced diet

It is very important that you pay attention to your diet as well and do not get lost in the chores of being a new mom. Yes, your life may be very challenging at the moment, but it is important that you stay healthy and fit too to be able to take care of your baby. Make sure that you have a balanced and nutritious meal. You may want to talk to your doctor who will advise you on some supplements that you should be taking. These could include some vitamins or minerals supplements. It could happen that your body needs some minerals, which can be got only by taking health supplements.

Exercise

You need to ask your doctor about when you can start to exercise. However, once the doctor gives you the go you can start to make exercise a part of your daily routine. Start with slow walks. When you exercise, the body releases a chemical which is known as endorphins. This is a chemical that helps to relieve stress and makes you happy.

If you do not open up about what you feel then this will only make your condition worse. Try to talk out what you are feeling to someone. This could be your spouse or your family member or a friend.
